How can I use the Auto-Completion function?

Password Depot provides an Auto-Complete function that allows you to enter data like for example username or password into the corresponding login fields of an opened website.

The Auto-Complete function can be accessed directly from an opened password list or from Top Bar mode.

Accessing the Auto-Complete function directly from an opened password list

1. Open your password list. Select and mark the desired password from the list.

2a. Click on the corresponding button for the Auto-Complete function (yellow lightning bolt) that can be found in the toolbar directly above your passwords.

2b. Select Auto-Complete from the Password menu. Password Depot minimizes itself and you will enter the auto-complete mode.

3. The corresponding URL will automatically be opened. Please wait until the website is completely loaded and the Auto-Complete pop-up appears on your screen prompting you to click into the first field of your login.

4. Click into the first login field on your website. Password Depot will now complete all data in the fields automatically. Please note that once the function of Auto-Completing is activated, any click that is not made in the corresponding login field will automatically cancel the Auto-Complete function. In case you change your mind and want to exit the Auto-Complete mode, just click on the Cancel button in the Auto-Complete pop-up.

1. Open the password list where the corresponding password is stored.

2. Minimize Password Depot to Top Bar mode by clicking on the corresponding button (Top Bar) in the toolbar.

3. Open your browser. Select the corresponding group and password in the Top Bar. Click on the button for the Auto-Complete function (yellow lightning bolt).

4. The corresponding URL will automatically be opened. Please wait until the website is completely loaded and the Auto-Complete pop-up appears on your screen prompting you to click into the first field of your login.

5. Click into the first login field on your website. Password Depot will now complete all data in the fields automatically. Please note that once the function of Auto-Completing is activated, any click that is not made in the corresponding login field will automatically cancel the Auto-Complete function. In case you change your mind and want to exit the Auto-Complete mode, just click on the Cancel button in the Auto-Complete pop-up.

NOTE:  The order in which your data relating to a password will be entered by Password Depot, need to be configured in the dialog box "New Password" or "Modify Password" under Auto-complete sequence.
