With Enterprise Server 11, client security policies have been introduced, which can now be defined using the Server Manager.
The client's Corporate Edition is a customized edition of the standard client that connects to the Enterprise Server and retrieves local security policies and pre-defined program options from the server. This allows the administrator to control the behavior of the client.
The security policies are always used regardless of whether the client is connected to the server and applied to all databases.
A typical example of using local policies:
Define which cloud services are enabled or disabled, allow or disable printing for all databases (not only for the database that was received from the server, as it was before version 11). Important program options can also be configured from the Server Manager.
